Shipping Agency.
Pilade Giani was founded in 1887 as a shipping agency, supplying since then full assistance to shipowners and masters of the vessels calling the port.
Today all the operative members of the Board hold the licence of shipping agents, released by the maritime section of the Chamber of of Commerce (law 135/77) and the operational staff is nowadays multilingual, dynamic and trained in compliance with new informatic procedure (PMIS program).

Liner vessels
For many Liner vessels calling the port of Leghorn the agency department supply assistance as protecting agents.
Tramp or chartered vessels.
The shipping agency department supply full assistance in case of tramp or chartered vessels.
Cruise vessels
Shipping agents for cruise vessels, including total assistance to pursers, concierge, planning of excursions and transfers to all main airports, assistance for crews.
